Project Details
FROM SCRATCH TO SCREEN
This project serves as the core practical application for our web development paths. You will not be filling in blanks in a pre-made template. Instead, you will open an empty folder, create your first index file, and build up a functional multi-page website piece by piece.
By the end of this project, you will have a deep understanding of how HTML structural elements interact with CSS layout models like Flexbox and Grid, and how to apply media queries to ensure the site looks excellent on mobile devices.
Key Learning Outcomes
- Semantic HTML: Structuring pages correctly for accessibility and machines.
- Asset Management: Linking external stylesheets, fonts, and optimising images.
- CSS Layouts: Moving beyond simple text styling to building complex, reliable page grids.
- Responsive Principles: Creating mobile-first designs that adapt smoothly to larger viewports.
- Deployment: Understanding the basic concept of moving local files to a live server environment.
